I am Exhausted - 9 June 14

Dear Family,

I have never worked like we worked this week. We were leaving at like 10 everyday, leaving lunch early to get to our lessons and getting home just a little after 9. Even though we were feeling pretty isolated this last transfer the leaders and calling a lot more this transfer and legally keeping the heat on.

We started the week with super P-day again and a conference with president. We climbed a rock in the middle of our city and went to a restaurant similar to Texas in Brazil. Then we played soccer and I actually did really good. i was the goalie and making people really mad with tons of Lucky saves and then I got a sweet goal. Then I ended up sore all over. But it was time for the work to start.

We worked really hard and had several dates for this sunday. Then the leaders came and marked even more dates for this sunday and left us with the responsibility to talk to all the parents. Unfortunately, none of the parents let the children get baptised and we had to settle with visits in the church.

I was really touched as we reached the end of the week and it appeared that we were without success. With the huge pressure to baptize here it is hard not to think about numbers. at about 7 on Sunday we were with 2 members of the church and they invited us to go home with them, eat cake and relax. We both expressed our desire to look for new investigators knocking door in a neighboring neighborhood. As we walked one member home she told us that a neighbor had just moved in. we immediately begged to get to know them that very minute. We entered what we thought would be a ordinary lesson/contact. We found out that she is a Young mom, recently divorced, looking for work with 3 kids. she expressed her desire to search for God again in her life and she literally lives 1 minute from the church. I am so excited to visit her again tomorrow. Just another testimony builder about working until the last minute every day.

But, it has been a great week and Ill write again next week.
Love,
Elder Jacobson (Andrew)
